Third Semester Legal Writing

The mandatory third semester builds on the skills taught in the first year writing and research courses and trains students in advanced research modalities through a variety of course offerings from drafting to brief writing to scholarly writing. THE UPPER LEVEL WRITING REQUIREMENT IS SATISFIED BY EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING:

Independent legal research (paper)-l860 (2 or 3 credits)

Seminar with a paper component that is designated 5 or 5a on course schedule (2 or 3 credits)
