Off-Campus Interviewing
Off-Campus Interviews
Although some employers come on-campus to conduct interviews with Cleveland-Marshall students, most do not. There several ways to obtain interviews and to contact employers other than interviewing with them at the law school.
Symplicity—The Symplicity database contains several thousand jobs per year that are available for students who apply. Employers send us the information and we put it into the database. These are jobs that we know exist. Also in the Symplicity system are the thousands of employers with whom we are in contact each year. Feel free to send you materials to them when job sear
ching.
Direct Contact—Many employers do not post positions but determine that if people are interested enough in the organization, they will either look at information on their website or they will send a cover letter and resume to inquire about positions.
Conferences—Some organizations have conferences and events where students are invited to attend to meet with employers. These will be announced in emails from the OCP. ALso watch the website for announcements of these events.
Job Fairs—Many jobs fairs are held around the country throughout the year. Again, these will be announced in an email, but the particulars will be placed on the website.
