The National Association for Law Placement (NALP) is made up of law school placement officers as well as law firm recruiters. the NALP website contains information on employers as well as other information you might find useful. Click on www.nalpdirectory.com
Martindale Hubbell is very useful in hard copy (multiple volumes) and is available in the library. The electronic version is available by clicking on www.martindale.com. You may do selective searches of law firms and specific lawyers; you may also conduct advanced searches of types of law, specific states or cities,etc. A list of those firms/lawyers you sought will be given to you, usually with the website URL on which you can click to conduct further research.
The Office of Career Planning also has hardcopy lists of various types of employers that may be useful to you.
