Cleveland-Marshall College of Law

Networking Events

Many programs are held in the law school throughout the year. All provide networking opportunities.

  • Noted scholars are frequent speakers
  • Employers often give presentations
  • Many members from the Cleveland legal community attend events here.

What a great opportunity to network with those with whom you may soon be practicing!

In addition, Cleveland-Marshall holds a Career Options Fair in the spring to which government offices and non-profit organizations send representatives to talk with students, collect resumes and answer questions.

The various bar associations welcome student members either at low cost or no cost. Join and attend some of their events to forge connections with practicing attorneys. Vist the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association for more information. For a more complete list of bar associations and their websites, click here.

The bar associations also put on Continuing Legal Education seminars (CLEs) that students may usually attend free. Who else attends? All the lawyers in that practice area! They must take 24 hours of CLE every two years so this is a great place to meet them.
