Susan Nash
Susan Nash is a Visiting Professor of Law from Westminster University School of Law in London, England. She will teach the Criminal Law Seminar/Advanced Topics on European Criminal Law and Procedure: Police and Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters in the spring of 2008.
Lisa Webley
Lisa Webley is Principal Lecturer at the School of Law, University of Westminster, London, and Research Fellow, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London. She will be visiting Cleveland-Marshall during Spring Semester 2007 as part of our faculty exchange program with the University of Westminster. She will teach a section of Comparative Constitutional Law that will focus on the constitutional position of the United Kingdom both in the context of the European Union and in comparison to the United States. Professor Webley received Diplome d’Etudes Juridiques Francaises from L’Universite de Limoges, France; an LL.B. from the University of Birmingham; a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, Chester; and an M.A. in Legal Practice from the University of Westminster; and is currently a candidate for a Ph.D. at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.
David Whitehead
David Whitehead is a Distinguished Practitioner in Residence. He brings many years of varied practice experience to our law school. He recently retired from FirstEnergy Corporation, where he was Vice President and Corporate Secretary. Among other positions with energy companies, he was General Counsel for The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company.
He has also been very active in the community. He serves on the board of trustees of Cuyahoga Community College and the board of directors of the United Way. He is Vice President of the board of park commissioners for the Cleveland Metroparks. Mr. Whitehead has also served on the law school's Visiting Committee, and he presently serves on the board of directors of the Cleveland State University Foundation.
In recognition of his professional achievements and community service, Mr. Whitehead has received numerous awards, including: African-American Male Achiever (2006) from 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland; Black Professional of the Year (2005) from the Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation; and William O. Walker Salute to Community Excellence Award (2000) from the Call & Post newspaper.
Mr. Whitehead, who received his B.A. (1968) and J.D. (1973) from Cleveland State University, will teach Corporations in the 2007 fall semester. In the spring semester, he will teach a class in energy regulatory policy in the College of Urban Affairs.
