Amenities for Students
- Study Rooms:
The Law Library has several study rooms available throughout
the Library for group study. These rooms may be reserved for groups
of 2 or more law students once a day and up to 3 consecutive hours. Law
students may reserve rooms in person at the Information Services Desk
up to 72 hours in advance or 24 hours in advance by phone at 687-2250. Study
room reservations will be canceled if the study group does not arrive
within 30 minutes of their reservation. If a study room is not reserved,
the room may be used on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A066 : The Law Library offers a large collection of professional
and study skills materials for our students to check out. These titles
are located on the Atrium Level in Room A066. Study materials include
Hornbooks, Nutshells, Lexis' Understanding Series, the Examples &
Explanation Series, DVDs, and legal writing, research and advocacy materials. The
collection also includes resources on adapting to the law school environment,
bar exam materials, and career-oriented items on topics such as starting
your own practice. The materials in A066 may be checked out of the Library.
-
Computer Lab: Personal
computers, located in the Law Library's PC Labs (First Level), are
available for Cleveland-Marshall students. You may save documents
to the H-drive, which is backed up daily. A lab assistant is usually
on duty.
- Printing: Students can print 800 free pages to the computer
lab printers per school year plus 200 pages per day on Westlaw and 200
pages per day on Lexis.
-
Wireless: CSU's wireless
network is called WoWnet
(WithoutWires network). IS&T provides more
information about compatible cards. You can buy a wireless adapter
card and setup CD for $115 from the CSU
Bookstore . Each CSU faculty, staff and student has an account
to access WoWnet. Once you have installed your wireless card, you
will need to login to your account with your username (your CSU ID
number) and your password (same as your CampusNet password). If you
have any problems with your wireless card, a lab assistant in the
Computer Lab can assist you.
- Ports to the CSU Network: Throughout the Base, Atrium, and
Second Levels of the Law Library, connect to CSU’s network at ports
with a green “live” sticker.
