Carrels

Cell Phones

The use of cell phones is discouraged throughout the Law Library. Please be respectful of those who are trying to study. We recommend you leave the Library if you need to talk to anyone on a cell phone.

Displays

Throughout the year, Library staff prepare exhibits in the display area near the main entrance. Topics of current interest to the Law School community are chosen. Student groups are encouraged to contribute suggestions and ideas.

Emergencies

In an emergency, notify a staff member at the Information Services desk at ext.2250. For general medical emergencies or to reach the police or fire department, dial 911 on a campus phone. From a cell phone, ask the operator to connect you to the CSU police. Fire extinguishers and alarms are located throughout the library. The only regular entrance and exit to the Law Library is located near the Information Services Desk. All other doors are alarm exits to be used only in emergency.

Fines

Messages

The Library does not provide a paging service. Emergency requests, however, are handled by the Campus Police -- dial ext.2020 on a campus phone.

Noise

Noise must be kept at a minimum at all times in study areas. The reference area has been designated for light conversation and meeting with other students.

Photocopiers

Photocopiers are available on all floors of the Library. Copies can be purchased with cash at each photocopier for 10 cents per copy. The photocopiers accept nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollar bills. You may also purchase a copy card for $1 from one of the self-service copy card dispenser/encoders located near the Information Services Desk. Copies made with a copy card also cost 10 cents per copy. $1, $5, $10, or $20 bills may be used to add value to your copy card. The library cannot give refunds.
