Sylvia M. Dunham LL212B A.S., Dyke College Sylvia’s major duties involve providing administrative support for the Law Library Director, maintaining departmental correspondence and personnel files, arranging for maintenance of equipment and services and resolution of physical plant problems. She monitors several budget lines and facilitates travel and conference arrangements for the Director and staff. Sylvia schedules use of the Law Library’s conference and instruction rooms. Sylvia has been a member of the Law Library staff since 1984. |

Jan Ryan Novak LL122 J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University Jan works closely with the Library Director in the planning and administration of all library functions, with specific oversight responsibility for budget and facility management, collection development, and information, research and instructional services. Jan and former staff member Leslie Pardo recently co-authored "The Evolving Nature of Faculty Publications" published in Public Services in Law Libraries (B. Bintliff, L. Peeples, ed, Haworth Information Press, 2008), recounting in part their experiences developing the Law Library’s Faculty Publications Database. |

Research Services
Marie Rehmar LL117 M.P.A., Cleveland State University Marie coordinates Law Library research services, and provides research and reference assistance to students, faculty, alumni, and others. She designs and installs information displays in support of College of Law events and speaker programs. Marie is the Law Library’s liaison to the University Community. She provides research assistance and consultations, and law-related instructional sessions for University graduate and undergraduate classes, and external groups. |

Laura Ray LL119A M.L.S, Kent State University Laura coordinates Law Library instructional programs and liaison services for the Legal Writing and Research program, advises on collection issues for medical literature, and provides research and reference services to faculty, students and public patrons. Laura currently serves as Education Coordinator for the AALL Micrographics/Audiovisual and Legal History/Rare Books Special Interest Sections. Recent presentations include Mandatory Digital TV and the Evolution of Library DVD Collections (2008 AALL Annual Meeting) and Rome: the Power of Film to Teach Foundations of Roman and Civil Law (2007 AALL Annual Meeting). |

Sue Altmeyer LL116 J.D., Cleveland Marshall College of Law Sue coordinates the development of webpage and blog content. She is involved in selecting, delivering and marketing electronic resources. Sue provides reference service, classroom research instruction and assistance with faculty course pages. Her prior jobs include research/reference librarian (Cleveland Law Library), appellate law clerk (Ohio Eighth District, Judge Nahra and Judge Dyke) and tax attorney (Ernst & Young). She has given CLE presentations on public records research, Internet legal research, current awareness sources and jury verdict research. |

Access Services
Amy Burchfield LL113 J.D., The Ohio State University Amy’s responsibilities include managing circulation and access services, providing faculty services to C-M Law faculty, selecting international materials for the library collection, and providing research and reference services to faculty, students and public patrons. Prior to the Cleveland-Marshall Law Library, Amy worked as a foreign and international law reference librarian at the Georgetown University Law Center and as a reference librarian at the Moritz Law Library at The Ohio State University. |

Tom Hurray LL119B B.A., Cleveland State University Tom’s specialties include Interlibrary Loan, OhioLINK, and stack maintenance. He assists faculty, students, alumni, and public patrons with the use of law library materials or other library related directional questions during evening and weekend hours. He also oversees the work of the law library student assistants. |

Jessica Mathewson LL109 B. A., University of Toledo Along with assisting patrons at the Access Services desk, Jessica is charged with placing materials on course reserve and processing faculty service requests. She contributes regularly to the Law Library Blog and supervises student assistants. Jessica has received the Staff Member of the Year award, voted on by law students, four times over the course of her eight years at Cleveland-Marshall. |

Jon Elias LL109 B.A., Cleveland State University Jon processes over dues and fines for law library materials, assists patrons at the Information Services desk, processes alumni and Ohio Bar borrower cards, patron requests for main library materials, updates loose leaf materials, and coordinates shifting of law library materials. |

Suzanne Dowst LL109 B.A., Cleveland State University Suzie works on keeping the library up to date with all the various loose-leaf filing. She also works the Information Services desk on Sundays, helping students with miscellaneous tasks including basic research functions and checking in/out of materials. Suzie started out at the library as a student assistant and worked her way through the ranks to the position of Law Library Assistant. |

Automation Department
David Genzen LL110 J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University David is responsible for technology support and planning in the college. He provides training and support for classroom presentation technology and course web pages. He also supervises the work and services provided by the Network Administrators. He previously served as a reference librarian and webmaster at the Moritz Law Library at The Ohio State University.

Dan Maynard LL112 Dan maintains the computer network and UNIX servers. He provides programming support for law school computer applications. In addition, Dan contributes to computer services for faculty and staff and primary support for law library computer systems. |

Eric Domanski LL112 Eric provides computer support for faculty and law school staff. He has specific responsibility for supporting student PCs, the computer lab, and related technology needs. Eric is also a primary contact for the creation of email accounts and lists. |

Rick Zhang LL115 M.S., Kent State University Rick provides primary support for web site development. He installs and upgrades hardware and software on law school computers. In 2005 Rick (along with Marie Rehmar, former law librarian Leslie Pardo, and former director Michael Slinger) won the “AALL/West Excellence in Marketing Award: Best Use of Technology” for the Half Million Book Celebration DVD. |

Greg Golembiski LL114 Greg supports faculty and staff with desktop computing issues. Greg also provides assistance with classroom technology.

Technical Services
Schuyler Cook LL214A J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University Schuyler’s responsibilities include managing the Technical Services department’s maintenance of the online catalog, processing tangible and electronic titles, and administering the Federal Depository Library Programs for the Law and University Libraries. Schuyler has worked for the Cleveland-Marshall Law Library since January of 1985 as a student, then paraprofessional and presently professional staff member. In May, 2008 the members of the Ohio Government Documents Roundtable elected Schuyler to be their Program Chair/President-Elect. |

Cassandra D. Baker LL214 Cassandra’s responsibilities include processing and maintenance of serial titles for the Law Library collection, including maintaining records and holding statements for the online catalog, preparing materials for bindery, and managing the shipment of items to our remote storage facility. Cassandra has been employed with Cleveland-Marshall Law Library since August 1, 1988. |

James Pape LL214 B.S., Cleveland State University While working at the Cleveland-Marshall Law Library, James earned his B.S. degree in Sociology from Cleveland State University. James’ principle duties involve processing serials, distributing materials, assisting with bibliographic updating and maintenance of the catalog, and facilitating routing specific titles. |

Kevin Garewal LL214B J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University Kevin’s primary responsibility is collection development, which includes purchasing all library materials and databases with input from the library staff, law faculty, and law students. Additionally, he works reference and serves as a library instructor for the research seminar sessions. Prior to Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Kevin worked as an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor in the Delinquency and Children and Family Services Units, and as an Adult Services Librarian at Cleveland Heights University Heights Public Library. |

Priscilla Howard LL214C Priscilla processes new library materials, performs cataloging, database maintenance and quality control functions, monitors the Law Library’s Special Collections materials, and compiles statistical data on the library collection, among her many responsibilities in the Technical Services Department. She began her employment with the Law Library in September, 1984. |

Richard Koloda LL214 J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University Richard’s responsibilities are cataloging new materials, database maintenance (including re-cataloging older materials), cataloging electronic databases, and sometimes making recommendations as to purchases. Richard has worked for the Cleveland-Marshall Law Library since July, 2005. Prior to that he worked for Cleveland State University Library since February of 1970, first as a student, then as full-time staff member since August, 1974.

Karen Zima LL214D B.A., Baldwin-Wallace College Karen processes invoices for materials for the Law and University Libraries, and assists with recordkeeping, analysis and administration of the Law Library budget. She places and tracks orders for law library equipment and supplies. Prior to coming to Cleveland State, Karen worked as a Controller’s assistant in the trucking industry with experience in accounts receivable and payable, payroll and financial reporting. |
