LexisNexis Academic -Annotated copies of the U.S. Code and annotated codes for all fifty states. Alternatively, access the codes via the Sources tab. Available in the law library to the public. Available remotely with a CSU ID and Scholar PIN.

Casemaker : Contains the unannotated U.S. Code - check currency information, may have to update with public laws. Unannotated statutes for all fifty states. Available at the public access terminals in the law library, or remotely with a Casemaker username and password.

  • University of Michigan's Legislative History Process Chart
  • Thomas - United States Public Laws ( 1973-); Bills ( 1989-); Congressional Record (1989-); Committee Reports (1995-) . See "All Congressional Actions" for references to the Congressional Record, committee reports, related bills.
  • GPO Access - Legislative - Contains similar items as Thomas, but not as far back. Links to two items not in Thomas: Committee Hearings (1995-) and Committee Prints (1997-) . GPO Access will be replaced by FDsys in mid-2009. Some databases have already been transferred to FDsys, but remain current in GPO Access. These include (as of 2-11-09): bills, Congressional Documents, Congressional Hearings, Congressional Record, Congressional Reports, Public and Private laws.
  • U.S. Senate WWW Home Page  -Active Legislation Subject List
  • LexisNexis Congressional - Via Cleveland Public Library with library card.
  • The CIS Index and Abstracts set (1970 - 2002) and the CIS Legislative History volumes (1984-2002) are available in print format at our Law Library, Base Level. Use them to identify full text of Congressional hearings, reports, documents, committee prints, bills, and the Congressional Record; and Public laws.
