Faculty Scholarship Technology
Technology that will make the scholarly writing process easier, includes:
1. RSS Feeds - Receive current scholarly journals or indexes of them in one convenient location. Review them quickly, when you want. Add in blogs and news feeds.
2. Social Bookmarking - Organize on-line sources.
3. Reference Management Software - Including RefWorks, Zotero and Endnote. Make a database of citation references with notes, images, documents, and Web pages attached to each reference. Create footnotes, endnotes and bibliographies. Insert properly formated citations into documents while you are writing them.
4. Mindmapping and Flowcharts- Create a pictorial representation of your research and writing process, or how your article will be organized.
5. Citation Checkers - Check bluebook form, shepardize/keycite, check accuracy of quotes, create a table of authorities.
