Cleveland-Marshall College of Law

Student Life

Some of the rumors you have heard are true: The world of a law student is quite focused, particularly in the first year of school where many new concepts are being introduced. The dedication to mastering these concepts is critical in that they provide a foundation for the rest of your legal studies. However, while law student life is focused, it is far from isolated.

You will form many life-long friendships with your classmates, a community of individuals that share your dedication to excellence and integrity. Unlike many other fields of professional study, the law attracts students from an amazing variety of backgrounds - business people, artists, educators, scientists, technicians, philosophers, and poets. Each with their own hopes and dreams.

The law school is located on the main campus of Cleveland State University, an educational institution which has embarked on an aggressive plan to expand and modernize its physical facilies. Among many other attributes, it features a brand new recreation center with state-of-the-art excercise equipment, free weights, an olympic swimming pool, aerobic and intermural activites, basketball, and racquet ball courts. Access to which is open to all students.

There is also a student health center, (staffed by a doctor and nurse practitioners), academic and wellness counseling, and disability services - all of which are available for your use as a student at Cleveland-Marshall.
