First Years' First Week is mandatory for all new students.
First year orientation takes place Monday, August 12 to Thursday, August 15, 2013. Academically, First Years' First Week marks the beginning of your law school career. You will meet your classmates, peer advisors, faculty, administrators, and staff through a variety of formal and informal events. You will also begin your Contracts and Legal Writing classes.
First Years' First Week Schedules:
This information will be provided in late July 2013.
During First Years' First Week, you will be introduced to the law library and all the services available-including some of the best law librarians around! The library staff have dedicated a section of their website, “First Year Law Students’ Guide to Law Library Essentials”, just for you. Check it out—this guide will be useful throughout your first year and beyond.
Orientation Jump Start will be held in late August 2013. Once we have schedule the event, you will notified of the date and time. Orientation Jump Start is not mandatory but is a time when you can receive assistance with IT or library issues such as registering passwords, accessing the wireless network, etc. You may also use this time to get your parking permit, get your ID (Viking Card), and buy books. Please note that the bookstore, Viking Card office and parking office will only be open until 5 p.m.
