Matching Gift - More than 1,000 companies sponsor Matching Gift Programs for employees and their families. (Many companies match the gifts of retirees, spouses, surviving spouses, and outside directors.) Most companies match on a dollar per dollar basis. Some companies match on a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. Since each company manages its own program and has its own forms, please contact your personnel or benefits office for more information.

Honor/Memorial Gift - Cleveland-Marshall is pleased to accept donations made in honor of or in memory of your loved ones. Notification of the gift will be sent to the individual if he/she is living or to the family of the deceased. The amount of the gift is not included when notifying the honoree or the family.

Gifts-in-Kind - Examples include library materials and classroom equipment. Please contact our office at 216.687.2476.

Securities (Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Stock Shares and Privately Held Corporations) - In addition to income tax savings, you can also save capital gains tax if you have owned the securities for more than 12 months.

Real Estate - You may donate property outright, which is used by the University or sold, and the proceeds used for support of the University. You may also retain occupancy of the property for life, but give your primary or vacation home to the University for its future benefit.

Bequests - You may reduce estate taxes by designating in your will specific gifts of cash, property, or a percentage of the remainder of your estate.

Life Income Gifts - Through gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, you and/or a beneficiary can receive income for life and leave a generous gift to the Foundation later.
(See Planned Giving)

Life Insurance - You may name the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law owner or beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
