Law Students... did you graduate from an Ohio High School?
Forever Buckeye Ohio Residency for Ohio High School Graduates
The State of Ohio's 2012-2013 budget establishes a new provision called "Forever Buckeye." This provision extends the in-state tuition rate to Ohio high school graduates having the current legal status to remain permanently in the United States, who had left Ohio but who return to enroll in an Ohio public institution of higher education and who establish a primary residence in Ohio by the 1st day of classes of the requested term.
How to Apply for Forever Buckeye Ohio Residency For-Tuition-Purposes
Print and complete the Forever Buckeye Ohio Residency Application.
Attach all of the following documents to the application:
- A copy of your Ohio high school transcript or a verification of your graduation on the high school's letterhead stationery.
(Note: a copy of your high school diploma is not sufficient proof of high school graduation); - A copy of a lease or deed establishing that you reside in Ohio.
- If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must attach a copy of supporting documents establishing your current immigration or Visa status.
Submit this form and all supporting documentation to Campus 411 MC 116, or mail to:
Cleveland State UniversityOffice of the Registrar - Attn: Residency
2121 Euclid Ave. KB 14th floor
Cleveland, OH 44115-2214
The residency reclassification application and all supporting documentation must be received by Campus 411 or the Office of the Registrar two (2) full weeks prior to the 1st day of classes of the semester for which you are applying.
The Registrar's Office may require additional documentation prior to making a determination regarding the Forever Buckeye Ohio residency for-tuition-purposes eligibility. The Registrar's Office will not review the Forever Buckeye application until it has received all requested documents.
