Parker Hannifin Corporation

Credits Hours: 3 or 5 Credit Hours for Summer Term
Prerequisites: RCC, completion of at least 29 credit hours, minimum GPA 3.0, submission of resume, cover letter, writing sample, list of past and currently pending courses, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, background investigation and drug screen, and if selected for an interview with members of the Parker Hannifin legal department.

Parker Hannifin’s in-house lawyers specialize in a wide variety of practice areas, including labor and employment, mergers and acquisitions, SEC compliance an disclosure, corporate governance and corporate finances, intellectual property, commercial contracts, real estate, environmental, litigation (primarily product liability, mass tort and commercial matters), executive compensation, employee benefits, and antitrust marketing and distribution.
The extern will work on various projects, including legal research and writing, contract review and negotiations, preparation of training materials, and participation in legal department initiatives and administrative matters. The externship is only available for 3 credit hours over the summer (24 hours per week).
Students may register for 3 credit (24 hours per week) or 5 credits (40 hours per week) in the summer term. Students in this externship also participate in an Externship Seminar conducted at the law school by the externship faculty supervisor. Graded Pass/Fail.

The Parker Hannifin legal department will make the final selection of the students.
