Job Search Resources
The Office of Career Planning area has many helpful tools to use in your search for employment‚ both law clerk and associate positions. Handbooks that staff have prepared from garnering information from various sources are available in both hard copy in the office and on line. There are also pamphlets from the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) which provide a quick read on various topics of interest. These are available in hard copy.
Directories available for use in the OCP area may provide names and ideas of firms and judges that may be useful in the job search.
The OCP subscribes to several periodicals that may be read in the area including the publications of various Bar Associations, Crain's Cleveland Business, and Ohio Lawyer.
Many employers send us glossy materials which are filed in the file cabinets in the area. If there is only one copy available, please read it but leave it for the next student. There is an entire drawer of materials for public interest advocates.
Many worthwhile books and materials are in the library. Many of the OCP materials are gathered together in one place. Don't over-look these publications. A list of specific titles for the OCP can be viewed here.
