David Glockner is Chief Compliance Office for Citadel, a global hedge fund based in Chicago. From 2013-2017 he served as Regional Director of the SEC’s Chicago Regional Office, where he oversaw the SEC’s examination and enforcement work in nine Midwestern states. Glockner also was a leader in the SEC’s efforts relating to cybersecurity examinations and enforcement. Prior to joining the SEC, he was managing director at a global digital risk management firm, and spent nearly 25 years as a prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office in Chicago, including 11 years as chief of the office’s criminal division. Throughout his career as a prosecutor, Glockner was active in matters relating to cybercrime and intellectual property theft. Glockner is an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois College of Law, where he teaches a class on cybersecurity and the legal system.
