Meeting of The Ohio Civil Rights Commission

Ohio Civil Rights Commission will hold a hearing in C|M|LAW’s Moot Court Room. The meeting is open to the public and students are particularly encouraged to attend.  The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a question and answer session with the attendees.  The hearing itself will begin at 10 a.m. and will last approximately two hours. Two cases will be heard -- one regarding a housing discrimination issue involving alleged discrimination by a landlord against families with children and the other concerning an allegation of wrongful termination due to unlawful retaliation against an employee.

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission enforces state laws against discrimination in employment, public accommodations, housing, credit and higher education on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, ancestry or familial status.
