People v. Eve - A Trial

In conjunction with Kol HaLev, Cleveland's Reconstructionist Jewish Community C|M|LAW will host "The People versus Eve," a trial and panel discussion, in which law professors, judges and attorneys will preside over the trial of Eve.  Following the trial, a panel of Cleveland’s most prominent religious leaders will reflect on the moral and ethical dimensions of the case.   

Guilty or NOT Guilty? YOU decide.

Eden's matriarch has been charged with theft and sedition following the sampling of a forbidden fruit from a special tree. What will the verdict be? Join us for this dramatic, live courtroom battle and YOU, the audience-as-jury, will decide!

Chief Counsel of The Fair Housing Council and CNN legal correspondent

While the jury’s votes are counted, a distinguished panel will wrestle with the challenging cultural and ethical issues enmeshed in Eve’s actions and legacy:
