Cleveland-Marshall College of Law will host an exhibit, “Celebrating Cities: a Photo Exhibition” by celebrated photographers Jennie Jones and Judy Rawson. There will be an opening reception celebrating the exhibit on Thursday, September 6, at 5:30 p.m.  Jones’ work will be shown throughout the law school.  “Living in Common: Cities and Countryside,” a collection of photos taken by Rawson that depict the synergy between well-designed cities and the country landscapes in which they sit, will be exhibited in the law school’s Judy and Robert H. Rawson, Jr. Learning Commons.

Judy Rawson, a 2017 inductee in the C|M|LAW Hall of Fame along with her husband, Robert, served the City of Shaker Heights for 21 years, first as a City Council member, then as a two-term mayor.  Rawson has focused her photography on cities, both domestically and abroad, to help see the world in fresh and distinctive ways.  In 2016, a generous donation from the Rawsons funded the Rawson Learning Commons, a technologically advanced collaborative learning space hosted in the Cleveland-Marshall Law Library.  Select photographic works of Judy’s currently adorn the walls in the Learning Commons.

“Cities are vitally important places, bringing together people and memorable urban moments. When well-designed, these places add beauty, coherence and energy to our lives. This exhibit celebrates architectural gems and cherished places in a variety of cities,” said Rawson.
