Please join us for the CSU Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Black Law Students Association's annual banquet, which will be held virtually this year. The banquet celebrates the success of BLSA members and awards a scholarship for a Cleveland-area high school student to lessen college tuition costs.

Eddie S. Glaude Jr.

Eddie S. Glaude Jr. is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor and chair of African American Studies at Princeton University.  Glaude is the author of Democracy in Black: How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul and Begin Again: James Baldwin’s America and Its Urgent Lessons for Our Own. Glaude is also a columnist for Time magazine and a regular contributor on MSNBC.


Imani Capri

Imani Capri is an experienced motivational speaker, award-winning writer, published author, and on-air radio personality on a mission to elevate the voices of women and girls, and to inspire audiences across the world to get in relationship with their inner courage, power and greatness. She has appeared on various media outlets including CBS National Morning and Evening news, The Christian Science Monitor magazine, Cleveland news media: WKYC Channel 3, WEWS Channel 5, WERE-AM 1490 radio, and Florida radio WFSU.


Eris Eady

The life work of Eris Eady is to engage all people on topics of diversity, leadership, and social justice. It is for this reason that she uses love of creative arts, leadership development and service learning to effect change in the city of Cleveland and beyond. Eris has spent the majority of their career working in Ohio non-profit organizations including: The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, Planned Parenthood, The Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center, and the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland. 

Currently Eris is the Digital Organizing Manager for the Alliance for Safety and Justice, a national criminal justice reform organization that centers survivors of crime.
