Mary Santez, 3L and native of Dayton, Ohio, is the 2011-2012 Vice-Chair of the Moot Court Team. She attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and received her B.A. in political science and English in 2009. Mary has worked as a research assistant for Professor David Forte, interned at the Cuyahoga County Public Defender's Office, and was also a summer associate in the domestic relations division of Community Legal Aid Services in Akron, Ohio. Last year, Mary was awarded the Best Oralist at the first-year competition, the Best Oralist at the intramural Moot Court Exhibition, and competed in the American Bar Association's Moot Competition in Seattle, Washington. This year Mary will compete in the National Moot Court Competition, the Regional taking place in Lansing, Michigan. Outside law school, Mary enjoys social justice advocacy, yoga, attempting to cook, and traveling.
