Fall 2015 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association’s (“the CMLAA”) Student Scholarship Program was established in 1990 to aid worthy post first-year law students at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
A maximum of ten (10) scholarships of $3,000 each will be granted to students of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in October 2014. Please note that two (2) of these awards will be for students of Labor and Employment Law. These two (2) awards will require a separate response, described herein.
The scholarships are awarded to any student in good standing who has successfully completed the first-year course of study or 29 or more credit hours at C|M|LAW.
The CMLAA, through its Scholarship Committee, will make the determination of who shall be recipients of the scholarship grants. The CMLAA will take into consideration:
- participation in law school organizations/activities
- participation in community activities/organizations
- unique life circumstances which warrant recognition
- financial need
- scholastic achievement in law school
The above criteria have been established as guidelines for the grant of scholarship. They are, however, not the sole criteria. Other factors, in addition to those set forth above, may also be considered.
All applicants are required to complete the online application in its entirety.
The submission deadline for each scholarship is 4:00 p.m. on September 18, 2015.
A letter will notify each recipient that he/she has been awarded a scholarship. An award ceremony and reception honoring the recipients and their families will be held in the latter part of October in conjunction with the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Academic Awards Ceremony.
ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED. NOTE: SPELLING, GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.
COMPLETED APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE BY 4:00 p.m. on SEPTEMBER 18, 2015.
