The Federalist Society is proud to present our first event of the year, "Is Ohio Policing for Profit?” on Tuesday October 18th at 12:00 PM in LB 206. The event will focus on possible reforms to the state of Ohio’s Civil Asset Forfeiture laws. The guest speaker will be Mr. Robert Alt, President of The Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions in Columbus, Ohio, with commentary provided by our very own Professor Jonathan Witmer-Rich. Lunch will be provided, and all are welcome to attend.

Tickets will be on sale starting October 10 at a table by the SBA Store or you can see any member of the two organizations to purchase tickets. Tickets will be $10 and good for two drinks and appetizers. Additional drink tickets may be purchased at the event for $5 each (cash).

Networking Event for law students. Get moving and stay active! Free ride at Harness Cycle. Adult beverages and snacks will follow the ride. Please be sure to register and sign the waiver. All guests should plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to get fitted for shoes and get help wtih their bike setup.

There will be a panel discussion discussing the “Black Lives Matter” and “Blue Lives Matter” as it relates to the student body at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. The purpose of this event is to create a safe space for expressing and discussing law students’ perspectives on both movements and how it intersects with their lives.
