Moot Court Team Tryouts

All 1L and 2L students are eligible to become members of the Moot Court team. Tryouts consist of both a writing component and an oral argument component. The writing component consists of a timed and anonymous writing exercise to take place in room 11 on your choice of either Friday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. or Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. Students will be given a prompt with relevant law to demonstrate their legal writing skills.

The oral component will take place after final exams, once the finalists are selected from the writing component. Students will be given a problem and will argue that issue in front of the current members of the moot court team.

New members will be chosen based on a combination of both writing and oral scores.

C|M|LAW Solo Practice Area Series - Criminal Law

The C|M|LAW Solo Practice Task Force announces the second annual solo practice area series beginning with a "How To" for Criminal Law Matters. This series will focus on practice areas that are more common among solo and small firm practices to give you a leg up on cases in which you may be involved as you establish your own practice. Ian Friedman, C|M|Alumnus will walk you through discovery motions, witness preparation, crime scene investigation, voir dire, etc, providing you with a practical perspective of handling a criminal case,.
