Description
Prerequisite: RCC; Upper level J.D., LL.M. and M.L.S. students may register for this course. Public Health Law is designed for students who are interested in public health law. Students will explore the governmental goal of protecting and encouraging communal health, in balance with the preservation of individual rights and liberties. The course will provide students with the opportunity to examine the means by which federal, state and local agencies develop interrelated laws and policies in support of public health issues like infectious disease control, emergency preparedness, and the promotion of healthier lifestyles.
