First Assignment Fall 2014

Commercial Law

LAW 601 Section 1

Michael J. Borden

Assignment details

Dear Students,

Welcome to Commercial Law.

Our casebook is Whaley and McJohn - Problems and Materials on Commercial Law. You must also have a statutory supplement. I have assigned Baird et al. - Commercial and Creditor-Debtor Law Selected Statutes. It should be fairly easy to find a discounted copy of this statutory supplement. If you have another statutory supplement that includes all relevant UCC sections AND THE OFFICIAL COMMENTS, you may use that.

The assignment for the first day of class is to read chapter 1 and complete problems 1-5. Please carefully read all the UCC provisions discussed in the assigned materials as well as the related Official Comments.

The assignment for the second day of class is to read pages 35-51 (including cases, problems, code provisions, Official Comments).

See you soon.
