Through our AI programming, you can access professional certificate training in generative AI through our AltaClaro partnership, engage with practitioners on the AI Advisory Council through events and speaker programming, and build knowledge in AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and IP through coursework and co-curricular opportunities.

AI Advisory Council
CSU Law’s AI Advisory Council brings together leaders from law firms, in-house legal departments, legal technology, and academia to guide the school's broader AI strategy. Council members help ensure our approach to AI education is practical, responsible, and employer-informed, covering AI governance and risk management, privacy and cybersecurity, IP and technology transactions, and legal operations.
The Council's role goes beyond advising. Members engage directly with faculty and students through programming, events, and working groups focused on how AI is changing legal practice and what that means for how we prepare lawyers.
FACULTY AND STAFF
CSU Law faculty and staff are actively exploring how AI is reshaping legal education, scholarship, and operations. From curriculum integration to research to practice management, our community is engaged in this work and sharing ideas across the school through programming and regular knowledge exchange.

Gen AI Professional Training
Through a partnership with AltaClaro, CSU Law offers every student access to the same generative AI training and skills certificate provided to working legal professionals. The program emphasizes responsible use, verification, professional judgment, confidentiality-aware workflows, and ethical risk management, so graduates can use AI tools effectively from day one of practice.
