First Assignment Spring 2015

Employment Law

LAW 684 Section 01

Candice S. Hoke

Assignment details

Hello Employment Law Students,

For our first class, please:

(1) read and think about the Chris Spencer problem (about 4 typed pages) that will be emailed to the entire enrolled class. Please be sure that you are enrolled so that you will receive it. The problem will be emailed about Jan. 9th, to give all students time to enroll and for their names to materialize on the email lists; and

(2) bring in at least 3 different examples of employment legal and policy problems, or employment disputes. Preferably tear these out of newspapers (Wall St Journal, NY Times, Cleveland PD), or magazines (such as Crain's Cleve Business, Business Week) rathe than use the Internet. Place your last name on the article, with a first initial.

I look forward to meeting you. -- Prof Hoke
