First Assignment Summer 2015

Estates and Trusts

LAW 609 Section 61

John Plecnik

Assignment details

For the first week of classes--Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27--please prepare Assignments 1-4 from your Course Syllabus, reproduced below:

Chapter 1. Introduction

1. 1-38 The Power to Transmit Property at Death
2. 38-49 Transfer of the Decedent’s Estate
3. 58-70 Professional Responsibility

Chapter 2. Intestacy: An Estate Plan by Default

4. 71-97 The Basic Scheme

In all likelihood, we will not complete all four Assignments in the first week. However, we certainly will not go beyond them. Throughout the Summer Semester, I will assign the material as far ahead as we might go, so that you are always prepared. However, we will take as much or as little time as necessary to thoroughly cover each assignment and build real understanding.
