Dear Secured Transactions Students,

I am very much looking forward to our class this semester. We will be a fairly small group (around 15 students), so this will mean a more conversational style of learning. To kick off the semester, please read the attached article about the history of the UCC. It was written by a fairly colorful guy and is an interesting story of how these laws are made.
