First Assignment Fall 2017

Commercial Law

LAW 601 Section 1

Mark J. Sundahl

Assignment details

Welcome to COMMERCIAL LAW!

I look forward to an exciting semester with you as we explore multiple aspects of commercial law.

I know that the textbook and statutory supplement has not yet been shipped. I contacted the textbook publisher today and they are looking into it. I will keep you posted.

In the meantime, we will make due. In advance of our first class, I'd like you to take some time to review the macro-structure of the Uniform Commercial Code. You can find each of the nine Articles of the UCC at Cornell's Legal Information Institute here. Click through each of the Articles to see the topics covered and how they are structured (focusing on Articles 1-5).

At our first meeting, I'll give a theoretical/historical introduction to commercial law and the UCC. I'd also like to hear some of your impressions -- so please bring a few ideas to share with the class.

See you soon!
