Hello All. I am looking forward to meeting you all on Tuesday. This year we are using Weisberg & Appleton, Modern Family Law (6th ed) (2016).

Laptop Policy: It has been my experience - and substantiated by recent social science data and analysis - one of the greatest impediments to learning is the misuse of laptops in the classroom. So in this class we are back to writig notes by hand and taking notes and briefing cases before coming to class. I hope that this will not discourage anyone from taking the course.

For Tuesday's class, please prepare pages 1-22 in the casebook.

For Thursday, please prepare pages 22-41.
