Legal Process
LAW 556 Section 50
Nicholas DeSantis
As you know, Torts and Legal Process classes are scheduled to begin on July 30. Class will be held in room 201, and will be held Monday through Thursday, from July 30 through August 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening.
For Torts, your textbook is Duncan & Turner, Torts: A Contemporary Approach (2d ed. 2012).
We will cover pages 1-10 and 23-60 during the first week. Please note that you must come to class prepared, which means you should read the assigned materials closely (and definitely more than once), take notes, brief all cases, and be prepared to discuss the materials assigned.
There is no text book for Legal Process. You will be provided course materials in electronic form from time-to-time. You first assignment is included with these materials and is entitled, “Introduction to Law School” and will be sent to you via email.
Your textbook for Torts should be available at the CSU bookstore sometime soon. For those of you who would like to get your book right away, Amazon and other online retailers carry the text and offer next-day delivery. Moreover, there are many affordable used copies of the second edition available online.
We’re excited for things to get underway, and we look forward to working with you!
