For orientation, please acquire the 4th edition of "Just Memos," by Oates and Enquist. Try to get a used copy to save money and please read chapters 1-5. The material from those chapters will be the basis for most of what we do all year, so there will be nothing to memorize.

Also, please purchase "Legal Writing with Style," a book I wrote with my colleague Terri LeClercq. The most recent version is available only through Amazon. Please purchase that version. There are other older versions, but those are now obsolete. The book you are lookng for is bright red and has color printing on the interior. Please read "Message to Students" and "Reviewing the Basics" in that book.
