Interactive Citation Workbook for the Bluebook (2018 Edition)

Amy E. Sloan, Researching the Law (2nd Edition)

Examples & Explanations: Legal Writing (2nd Edition)

Please purchase (or rent) the specific editions listed. You will need a hard copy of the Bluebook. I have ordered the last 2 books above (Sloan and E&E) in a bundle for you to save money. The CSU bookstore is currently in the process of stocking this bundle. You may also find the bundle pricing at the publisher's website, Wolters Kluwer Legal Education. The ISBN for the bundle is 9781454892069. The Interactive Citation Workbook (ICW) may not be available right away, so I will time when we start using it with its availability. We will also use my own textbook, What Are You Trying to Say? A Guide to First-Year Legal Writing. I will make those chapters available to you electronically as needed.

UPDATE - FIRST ASSIGNMENT: For our first class on August 15, please read What Are You Trying to Say? Part I, attached here, and Researching the Law, Chapter 2., also attached here. You do not need to write out any of the exercises in the reading, but please be prepared to discuss them. Also, please complete your Library Training as soon as possible, so you will be able to access Lexis and Westlaw. My course page will be on TWEN on Westlaw. I look forward to meeting you soon!
