First Assignment Fall 2018

Torts

LAW 512 Section 61

Carolyn Broering-Jacobs

Assignment details

As you know, Torts and Legal Process classes are scheduled to begin on July 30. Class will be held in room 201, and will be held Monday through Thursday, from July 30 through August 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening.

For Torts, your textbook is Duncan & Turner, Torts: A Contemporary Approach (2d ed. 2012).

We will cover pages 1-10 and 23-60 during the first week. Please note that you must come to class prepared, which means you should read the assigned materials closely (and definitely more than once), take notes, brief all cases, and be prepared to discuss the materials assigned.

Your textbook for Torts should be available at the CSU bookstore sometime soon. For those of you who would like to get your book right away, Amazon and other online retailers carry the text and offer next-day delivery. Moreover, there are many affordable used copies of the second edition available online. For those who are having trouble getting the text in time, the early reading is attached -- these pages should get you through the the first three days of class.

We’re excited for things to get underway, and we look forward to working with you!
