First Assignment:

NOTE: We will not meet on Monday, August 26th. Our first class will be on Monday, September 9th, since there is no class on Labor Day.

For our first meeting, please read text pp. 1-39.

Also, please go to the web site of a nonprofit organization in which you have an interest. Be prepared to answer the following questions: Are the names of the organization’s board members available on the site? Can you find a recent Form 990 or other financial information on the site?

To make up for class time on Monday, August 26th, please watch the documentary “The Art of the Steal.” The documentary is based on the Barnes Foundation litigation which we will discuss later in the semester.

Here’s the YouTube link to the documentary:

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions – mckinlsnull@ccf.nullorg

I look forward to meeting you.
