First Assignment Fall 2020

Torts

LAW 512 Section 62

Carolyn Broering-Jacobs

Assignment details

TEXTBOOK: Duncan & Turner, Torts: A Contemporary Approach (3d ed. 2018). W

ASSIGNMENT: We will cover pages 1-58 during the first week, and pages 59-94 during the second week. Please note that you must come to class prepared, which means you should read the assigned materials closely (and definitely more than once), take notes on the readings, brief all cases, and be prepared to discuss the materials assigned.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION:

(1) Weeks one and two will be remote. We will meet at the regular class time via Zoom. Please use this link for the Torts classes during the first two weeks: https://csuohio.zoom.us/j/95181543785?pwd=MW03QllWUXEvVDlKK2dCWXhSZVFxdz09#success

(2) After the first two weeks, we'll meet in person on Mondays and Wednesdays, and we'll meet remotely, via Zoom, on Thursdays. If you are unable to meet in person on Mondays and Wednesdays, you will be permitted to participate via Zoom. I will provide the Zoom links for class in our syllabus.

Please note that the remote instruction in this class will be synchronous. Consequently, I expect you to be available at the assigned class days and times, for the entire class. The course attendance policy, which will be explained in the syllabus, applies to in-person and remote participation.
