Welcome to OBEST!

Course

OBEST is designed to provide you with detailed information about the structure and content of the Ohio Bar Exam (Uniform Bar Examination-UBE); inform you of strategies and tactics for studying and preparing for and taking the bar examination; and help you develop and strengthen your test-taking skills through the use of regular practice examinations and detailed feedback as you develop and practice a systematic approach to efficient problem solving. Classes will be at the scheduled time via Zoom. Links will be sent to you in the syllabus, in email, and in Matrix.

Matrix

We will be using an online platform in OBEST - Matrix. You will be automatically enrolled in Matrix and will receive your user name and password to your Cleveland Marshall email to enter the site in email from Matrix. Matrix is separate from your Barbri Enrolled Student Center (the Barbri site with your account, law school materials, Early Start Bar Prep and, eventually where your Bar Review Course will be located.) All work with be done in Matrix, including submission of Essays, MBEs, and MPTs

The course material will be available online in Matrix. Additional course material will be sent via email and posted in Matrix.

Before the first class, please complete the following:

• Access the Matrix online classroom (sent by Matrix week of 1/18/21, check junk or spam folder, sent to your CM email)
• Read the course syllabus (to be sent via email week of 1/11/21 and posted in Matrix)
• Complete the Questionnaire posted in Matrix and submit your answer

• Review UBE PDF sent via email. (sent via email week of 1/11/ 21 and posted in Matrix)

Please Note: MBE BOOT CAMP: The Boot Camp (which is part of OBEST) is scheduled on Saturday 4//17 from 9 am to 2 pm via Zoom.
