First Assignment Spring 2023

Innovation Law Seminar

LAW 538 Section 1

Christa Laser

Assignment details

Welcome to Innovation Law! For the first day of class, for those who have not had an intellectual property law overview, we will cover some basics that will frame the other discussions throughout the semester. We will use the readings as a launching point to discuss some of the policy benefits and drawbacks of the U.S. intellectual property system. We will then briefly go over how to start thinking about what you want to write--it can be anything innovation related, whether IP, tech, autonomous vehicles, the business of medicine, or more. Bring questions about topics to the first day. I will post a course syllabus on blackboard for reference. You can also find the Zoom login for the class sessions there.
