  1. Read Introduction and Chapter 1 (Finding What to Write About) of Academic Legal Writing, by Eugene Volokh.
  2. Read the following article: Lina M. Khan,Amazon's Antitrust Paradox, 126 Yale L. J. 710 (2017), https://www.yalelawjournal.org/pdf/e.710.Khan.805_zuvfyyeh.pdf.
  3. Prepare a one-page document discussing: (i) your background/interests, (ii) why you decided to go to law school, (iii) three specific areas of law that most interest you (e.g., civil rights, animal rights, securities regulation, etc.), and (iv) why you are taking Scholarly Writing. We will use these ideas for discussion during our first class.
