2024 Entertainment & Sports Law Symposium

This symposium promises to be a comprehensive and insightful event for anyone interested in the legal aspects of the sports industry. Attendees will hear discussions on managing legal liabilities in sports injuries and exploration of legal considerations for organizing sports events, including contracts and regulatory compliance.  Legal representation for athletes and organizations will be a key focus, covering contracts, endorsements, disputes, anti-doping rules, and intellectual property.  Additionally, ethical concerns, governance structures, and integrity in sports will be addressed.

Cleveland-based lawyer and sports agent Mark Termini has represented professional basketball players, coaches, and executives for more than 30 years. From 2014 to 2019, he personally negotiated $1.4 billion in contracts for a number of NBA clients, including Ben SimmonsJohn WallEric BledsoeTristan ThompsonDraymond Green, and LeBron James.  Over the course of his career he has negotiated more than $2 billion in professional sports contracts. His is the author of an acclaimed 2023 book, “Words to Negotiate By: Axioms, proverbs and collected wisdom from a lifetime operating in the complex worlds of business and sports.” Mark is a distinguished 1984 alumnus of CSU|LAW.
