On February 28, U.S. and Israeli forces launched a series of air strikes against Iran. The strikes - positioned as a response to threats emanating from Iran, and in particular, the Iranian alleged development of nuclear technology - have resulted in the death of the Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the deaths of dozens of other Iranian political and military leaders, as well as the deaths of hundreds of civilians. In response, Iran launched a series of air strikes against U.S. and Israeli targets, but also against several Gulf States. Professor Milena Sterio, CSU College of Law, will discuss the legality of U.S and Israeli air strikes under international law. In addition, she will address foreign policy implications of such strikes, with a particular focus on the Middle East. This webinar will be sponsored by CSU College of Law's International Law Center.
