Dear Secured Transactions Students,
Our adventure in Secured Transactions is about to begin. Article 9 of the UCC is the only UCC chapter that has launched multiple reality TV shows. It will be an interesting semester. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for the law with you.
In advance of our first meeting, please spend a few minutes reviewing the table of contents of Article 9 of the UCC. Then read Article 9-101 and the following (rather lengthy, but important) official comment. When we meet, I will help sharpen your understanding of the overall purpose and structure of Article 9.
