The Law and Leadership Institute (LLI) is a non-profit in Ohio that works with high school students from underserved communities to educate them about and prepare them for careers in the legal profession.
The Cleveland-Marshall College of Law will celebrate it's Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at The Connor Palace Theatre at Playhouse Square. Oberlin College President Carmen Twillie Ambar will deliver the commencement address.
Graduates and their families are invited to attend a dessert reception at the Law School immediately following the ceremony.

Come learn about the Law School's extensive collection of artwork featuring Cleveland and Cleveland artists. Tour of the Law Building lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, followed by a wine and cheese reception in the Atrium. Event is open to everyone.

A degree rapidly growing in national prominence and value, the MLS can be beneficial for anyone whose current or future position requires them to interact with counsel, protect ideas and organizational assets, assess the need for regulation and work efficiently with changing legislation, along with anyone who wants to gain legal knowledge and the ability to “think like a lawyer” without practicing law or sitting for the bar. Cleveland-Marshall College of Law’s chapter of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is set to host the organization’s Midwest Regional Convention February 22-25. The Midwest Black Law Students Association (MWBLSA) has a membership of 600 law students from 52 law schools located in 13 Midwestern states. The National Black Law Students Association has over 6,000 members in more than 200 local chapters throughout the country.
The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Louis Stokes Scholars Program, launched in the summer of 2012 by Tucker Ellis LLP Partner and then-CMBA President Carter Strang (C|M|LAW ’84), has become an important resource for Cleveland students looking to pursue a career in the legal profession. The initiative has already had an impact at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is poised to continue providing future generations of quality students.
Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law is set to unveil the new Judy and Robert H. Rawson, Jr. Learning Commons, an open space that will enhance technologically advanced collaborative learning. The Commons was made possible thanks to a generous gift from longtime CSU supporters Robert and Judy Rawson.
