Come learn about the Law School's extensive collection of artwork featuring Cleveland and Cleveland artists. Tour of the Law Building lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, followed by a wine and cheese reception in the Atrium. Event is open to everyone.

Cleveland-Marshall welcomes special guest Mark Smolik - VP, General Counsel, Secretary, Chief Compliance Officer, DHL/Exel Inc.

Mark joined DHL in 2009. He leads the company’s legal, commercial contracts management, compliance, and economic development teams, which includes responsibility for supporting the company’s Williams Lea TAG operations. Mark also serves as Global Chair of the company’s Supply Chain Legal Services Practice Group.

8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: OCP will sponsor a breakfast for students interested in business law/corporate law in LB 60. Mr. Smolik will speak to students about DHL and their new externship program. Invitation only by the Office of Career Planning.

10:30 - 11:30 a.m. :  Presentation to faculty and staff in the Moot Court Room.

Noon - 1:00 p.m. : Lunch with students in the Learning Commons. All students are welcome to attend.

Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law is set to unveil the new Judy and Robert H. Rawson, Jr. Learning Commons, an open space that will enhance technologically advanced collaborative learning.  The Commons was made possible thanks to a generous gift from longtime CSU supporters Robert and Judy Rawson.

Legal Research Seminar - Ravel Law Research System

Ravel has partnered with Harvard Law School to digitize all of Harvard’s American caselaw collection. Ravel currently includes the US Code, as well as all US Supreme Court, Federal Circuit Court, Federal District Court, and 1950-present State court cases. Ravel also has some interesting case maps, as well as case and judge analytics. Ravel’s “Open” basic account is free, and law students can get free educational fuller accounts.
