Monday Morning Message 2.22.22 "Twosday" Morning Message

“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” ― H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Last week I asked you to take a moment and make a donation of any amount on Giving Day. This morning, I want to take a moment to say thank you to those of you who responded.

And to those of you who didn’t have a chance to give on Giving Day, it’s not late! (see below for why).

We were once again the top college on the Cleveland State University campus on Giving Day, raising more than the next three CSU colleges combined. We raised $36,031 from 95 donors in one day, which is 23% of all the funds that Cleveland State’s eight colleges raised.

Special thanks to those who made matching gift challenges:

  • Sonia WinnerVice-Chair, Board of Visitors
  • Steven Percy '79
  • Richard Schloss '02
  • James Lowe '72,
  • Peter W. Klein '81
  • Patrick Burke '03
  • Georgia Froelich '84
  • Jane Koehl '96
  • Brent Buckley '82
  • Kelly Tompkins '81, ChairBoard of Visitors
  • Tom Gorman’73

Thanks also to the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni AssociationStudent Bar Association, and Professor Brian Ray and the Center for Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection who donated prizes.

To those of you who didn’t have a chance to give on Giving Day, did you know that it’s good luck to give on a palindrome date?

Today is 2/22/22 – a date that can be read the same way backwards and forwards.

What’s even more extra intriguing is that 2/22/22 falls on a Twosday. For extra luck, please give at 2:22pm today.

Believe in C|M|LAW. Please Give Now.

It would mean a lot to us if you would take a moment to support the opportunity for a student to achieve their dream of making a difference in the world. Please help us continue to support our students, to transform lives, and to prepare the future leaders who will change the world.

Believe in C|M|LAW. Please Give Now.

My best,

Lee

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay Committed to Living Justice.
