What motivated you to attend law school?

I have always known I wanted to work with people and be a champion to those who need one. While there are many ways to meet those goals, the law seemed like the right path for me. I appreciate the competitiveness, drive, and passion it takes to become a lawyer.

Tell us about your legal work experience (law clerk, externship, internship, etc.).

My first legal position was with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland as an extern. I worked in the Domestic Relations Group, learning the ins and outs of divorce and child support. I continued my experience in domestic relations by clerking with Judge Diane Palos at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and later clerking for Rosenthal | Thurman | Lane, LLC, in downtown Cleveland. Throughout my experience, I’ve written countless briefs, memoranda, and motions, while sharpening my research and communication skills.

What are the best qualities you will bring to a legal employer?

I pride myself on being a puzzle solver. I like to look at situations from many different angles to find the best way to resolve the issue. I also have extensive experience in managerial and coordination positions, and I love to work with a team.

What are your goals for your legal career?

Although my background is in domestic relations, I hope to find myself in a position of in-house counsel, human resources, or employment law. My goal is to have a happy work-life balance while maintaining a strong and progressive work ethic. My greatest hope is to find a position that I am passionate about with people I enjoy working with.
