Required Upper Level Courses

The breadth and depth of legal education continues to expand during upper level years, with additional required coursework and electives. The College of Law requires 90 total credits to graduate, including certain specific graduation requirements.

All second-year JD students, regardless of their academic program, must take Constitutional Law, a two semester course, in both the Fall and Spring semesters of their second year.

Additional requirements that must be taken before graduation include:

  • Code of Professional Responsibility Course (Two Options: 1) Legal Professionalism and Ethics; or 2) Criminal Justice Ethics)
  • Evidence
  • Third Semester Writing
  • Upper Level Writing
  • Experiential Learning Credits
